Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Spiiksi service. The Service is provided by Maunu Group Oy. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Spiiksi is an AI-assisted simultaneous interpretation service for conferences, events, and meetings. The Service includes: • Real-time speech recognition and speech synthesis • Remote connectivity for human interpreters • QR-code-based listener access • Event and channel management • Billing and usage reporting

Use of the Service requires registration. You are responsible for: • Ensuring the information you provide is accurate and up to date • Keeping your credentials secure and confidential • All activity that takes place under your account If you suspect misuse of your account or become aware of a security issue, contact security@spiiksi.fi without delay. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You may not use the Service to: • Engage in unlawful activity or violate applicable laws • Share content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights • Intentionally disrupt, damage, or overload the Service • Reverse engineer, copy, or otherwise misuse the Service without authorization • Harass or harm other users • Scrape content automatically without our written permission If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice.

The Service is paid. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page. Billing takes place monthly in arrears based on actual usage. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. Paid fees are non-refundable unless the error was caused by us. We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes.

The Service and its related software, interface, and brand are the property of Spiiksi and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, sell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the Service or any part of it without our written permission. You retain ownership of the content you use in your events. You grant us a limited right to process that content to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

The Service relies on third-party services and APIs, including OpenAI and Microsoft Azure. Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, performance, or changes.

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us during the preceding three months. We are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits, business interruption, or data loss, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

We target 99.9% uptime. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or development work. We will provide at least 24 hours' notice for planned outages where possible, and as much notice as we reasonably can for urgent interruptions.

This agreement continues until terminated. Either party may terminate it with 30 days' written notice. We may terminate the agreement immediately if you materially breach these Terms. After account closure, we will delete your data within 30 days unless the law requires a longer retention period.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes through negotiation. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, disputes will be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. If you continue using the Service after the changes become effective, we will treat that as acceptance of the updated Terms.
